Frankly, this is a master piece. Probably one of Moz's most cosy songs ever.
:)

8. When I first heard it, I thought nothing of it. A throaway. was my first impression. But then I listened to the lyrics, and found the gentitly of it to be beautiful.

A strong 9.

AFAICT, folks here have some troubles with unpretentious lyrical songs (other examples Driving Your Girlfriend Home or I'm Hated For Loving). For me they work really well. This one's also autobiographical.

8/10. A beautiful song. Very moving and simple.

absolutely flipping gorgeous! easily in my top 10 Moz/Smiths songs.
it's the song I've strummed along to the most on my little Spanish guitar; something I do virtually every day (it's basically D's, Em's, Bm's, G's and A's; simple!).

i like i know very well how you got that note wrong more, becuase you can hear mozzy giggle twoards the end, and I daresay, it's very adorable

The second classic b-side (along with "Hairdresser On Fire") from the first solo single. This song is just so beautiful. There's something so unbearably sad about the chorus: "You think you were my first love, but you're wrong. You were the only one who's come and gone." This same theme was explored, of course, in many other songs (notably in the heavy-handed "Never Played Symphonies") but never as effectively as in this understated gem. A 10.
