im glad im the first one to comment on this song. it gets alot of flack, but i f***ing love it. its silly and stupid, but thats the songs intention. its not supposed to be serious. and i dont think is "ruins" Your Arsenal. it's a fun song, and i think its damn catchy. it doesnt deserve quite a 9 but im gonna give it a 9 cuz i know it'll probably get alot of low scores, and im feeling generous today.

its the first moz song that i listened to, so its always been one of my favourites. 9!

a 5

[and I'm very very generous this time, cause happy solo is back online]

What on earth was Morrissey thinking, that this tune is actual a song,
and that he acual put it on one of his best albums, and made it even
a single

it's one of Morrissey greatest mistakes in musichistory

it's not even a song, it's the same old riff over and over and so with
the lyrics

I gave it 3 points extra for naming Battersea in the song, dunno why,
but that's why it looks it a bit mysterical for me...why Battersea?
what's there to do?, what's Morrissey's connection with it for naming it,
etc.

Wilde's library is in Battersea Park?
his house is Tite street, but Battersea park mentiones Wilde [a statue?]

did Obama win a state again?

Uplifting tune and fun lyrics. Just goes to show that the detractors who call him miserable don't know what they're talking about.
The fact I can see Battersea Power Station from my window only adds to my love for 'Fatty' :D

this was my first morrissey-favorite, from the first album I ever bought. Your Arsenal. Now I don't like it so much, but I'll give it a 7 for old times sake.
Is this the last song? :tears::tears:

well said that girl!

my favourite Morrisey song ever. Perfection as far as I'm concerned, so it gets a 10 from me

a-hey, an 8 for this delightful ditty! Another 'only Morrissey could sing this' song.

I used to think he was saying 'oh we're about to see some hope and some despair' (how would I know what/where Battersea is? :p) I like the video for this song -I wish someone would 'feed me' at the park! :o and I esp likes when she sniffs then eats the flower :)

'Fatty' is one of my daughter's favorites too :)

Normally it would have been a 5 but since it's a song that on Morrissey would stand up and sing it gets a very generous 6 for me.

Not one of his best, only a six. Good live though.

A catchy little number that isn't one of his best - we all know this. But as someone mentioned earlier, it's not meant to be taken too seriously. 7 from me. :)

I don't think there's anything wrong with a little levity to break up Moz's accustomed themes from time to time. It's not one I throw on repeat on the ol' iPod mind you. But I am especially attached to it since I sing it to my adoringly plump cat Kate. She gives it a 10. I give it a 7.
