10. I LOVE this song with all my heart, it doesn't matter how much of a bad mood I'm in, this never fails to cheer me up.

oh oh OHH so catchy!
9

Absolutely love this song. The walls of shimmering guitars at the start and finish are just mind-blowing. One of the easiest 10s ever.

An okay song. 8
However, I don't feel like listening to it, these days

you must suffer and cry for a longer time.
It's very positive and encouraging.

I like when Johnny plays the quick notes too.

I agree but I just have to say I LOVE your sig, it's abosutely stunning.:o:D

an 8

again [as wonderfull woman] a good track which you wont bump into
a lot

the lyrics are absolutely brilliant in a cheap way, I mean Morrissey
didn't use difficult words, just simple worlds put down together which
came out as a great lyric

the music is a bit of 'the Smiths on autmatic pilot'... it ain't bad, but
it definately isn't their best tune

to end it, a very good Smiths track which didn't get what it deserved:guitar:

21 '10's??

I give it a 7. I like it but it's not a favourite and isn't, in my opinion, Morrissey or Johnny's greatest work.

7/10. A good song.

easy 10 from me - love the anger in the lyrics and the speed of the song - i have never got tired of listening to it in all these years. This and You've Got Everything Now are like two halves of the same story for me and i will be giving that one a 10 tomorrow too!

I love it. Maybe 9.5..

I reserve 10's for three songs only..

There Is A Light, rubber ring and Late Night, Maudlin Street.

... I have about 75 9.99's too

i dont give out 10 often but this one..esay!

in my opion a very underrated song( i mea nthat people often mention songs like asleep how soon is now there is a light as the song to be and quote from any other but´never this one) and sadly never played live (smiths and solo) didnt moz like the song? why yoh why?
if i am sad this is the one and only that makes me smile every time
"All the love that you long for eludes you
And people are rude and cruel to you
You just havent earned it yet, baby"

always! so true!!!

love the melody love the lyrics

If youre wondering why
All the love that you long for eludes you
And people are rude and cruel to you
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why

You just havent earned it yet, baby
You just havent earned it, son
You just havent earned it yet, baby
You must suffer and cry for a longer time
You just havent earned it yet, baby
And Im telling you now ...

If youre wondering why
When all I wanted from life was to be famous
I have tried for so long, its all gone wrong
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why
But you wouldnt believe me

You just havent earned it yet, baby
You just havent earned it, son
You just havent earned it yet, baby
You must suffer and cry for a longer time
You just havent earned it yet, baby
And Im telling you now ...
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why

Today I am remembering the time
When they pulled me back
And held me down
And looked me in the eyes and said
You just havent earned it yet, baby
You just havent earned it, my son
You just havent earned it yet, baby
You must stay on your own for slightly longer
You just havent earned it yet baby
And Im telling you now ...

You just havent earned it yet, baby
Oh ...
You just havent earned it yet, baby
If youre wondering why
All the love that you long for eludes you
And people are rude and cruel to you
Ill tell you why
Ill tell you why
