While we wait for the new album let us go about rating the songs we know on a daily basis, and compile our own Morrissey/Smiths Top 100.

History of portable music players.

After drivinf my college girlfriend home, I made the fateful decision to tune into an independent AM radio station from Eugene, Oregon. Living in Portland, the reception was usually poor, but this night the music came in fine. Driving along I hear "Bigmouth Strikes Again". At the time, I did not know about Morrissey or The Smiths. The DJ made a passing remark about The Smiths.

Later that night, I CANNOT get the song out of my head. I have no idea what it is called. I only heard it once on a crappy AM station. So, I go to the local music store and buy up all The Smiths records I can find. Finally, I find "Bigmouth" and my love affair with Morrissey began. The year was 1993 and the next fourteen years have flown by.

I'm very glad I drove my girlfriend home that night...

Now I know how Jean of Arc felt when the flames rose upon her roman nose and her eyepod started to melt; 10

10!!! Insanely the NME, in their original review of The Queen is Dead rated Bigmouth as the poorest on the album and a bad choice for a single..
