Great lyrics, very dull melody. A 7 from me.

Admittedly, it's not the greatest of Moz songs, but I love this song anyway. It's just got such great energy - it's a fun song that always makes me smile. I'll give it a 9.

Not the greatest song he's ever written, but there's something really likeable about it. It's totally bonkers, and I love his vocal at the end - "Leave me alone, I was only singing!" 7/10.

Most people keep their brains between their legs

don't you find?

And then the music between that and "leave me alone I was only singing" is some of the best Mozic ever, so I give a 10!

I gave it a 10

Its one of the first songs I really got into & I still remember my mum telling me off for singing "most people keep their brains between their legs" to her in the car. She thought it was rude.

A 9 and one of the early solo ones that spoke to me. It's very 'fey' (fey rhymes with ok =o) to me and different but so eloquent. I like the little musical interlude ('more triangle'! :p) too. Gets extra points for cooly leading into Playboys.

A gentle tone of kindness or written words on paper...CAN YOU WRITE?! (I love the ...you JERK! conotation :p)

Has anyone noticed how great the "S" songs are doing? Houdini...stats?! :)

a 7

decent song from Bona Drag [which I find a REAL album , and must be counted with all other studio albums]

lyrics are not his best, musicly it's not very impressive .

finest line
I will not change and I will not be nice
and
most people keep their brains between their legs

8/10. Love it! Too good for a b-side.

This song has been a theme song for me this year. Love it, love it, love it! The studio version doesn´t do it justice but the live versions are absolutely amazing.

never used to like it that much, but for some reason over the past couple of months i cant stop listening, 10

The lyrics are great on this one...But I don't like the way the song ends...So a 7 from me...

What do you mean you find it a real album? It was recorded at loads of different sessions over a three year period with different songwriters and different musicians!
Presumably you mean you'd never heard any of the songs before so, to your ears, it was a like a studio album, but so would the Best of The Smiths be if you were new to the band.
Bona Drag is a great collection of songs but it is basically the best of the Viva Hate sessions and Morrissey's favourite songs (at the time) off all the 'funny little singles' between VH and KU.

Anyway, back to the song. I love it! Giving it a 9...

tut tut, I know my history

Bona Drag was mere an album on which all singles between 88 and 91 were
listed plus a few b-sides

but I find it a complete album, not a reissue repackage album like the best off's

no, in my book this is one of his 9 th studio albums

Yes, the S is the best performing letter so far: Speedway and Still Ill are currently both top-3, Shoplifters and Stop Me are top-15 and Sister and Seasick are also at an average score of 9 or more.
And then there are still some really great S-songs to come: Suedehead, Sunny, Suffer Little Children, Sweet and Tender Hooligan...

Hmm, here's an idea. Let's start a campaign to get Moz to make sure that all the songs on the next album start with the letter 'S'!

I WILL NOT CHANGE AND I WILL NOT BE NICE!!!!

10.
