All love, no loathe. I love his rockabilly, catchy, light and humorous stuff. Any fool can think of words that rhyme...few can make them ingenious. Moz, you make it seem so easy to become a pop star :D but only YOU have the lovely singing voice. A very strong 8 for me.

a 7

OK single from Kill Uncle, like Our Frank these 2 singles are highly underrated
I love the music, lyrics could've been better, live it was a highlight during
the kill uncle tour, but it sounded a bit Rock-a-Billy, more upbeat, as most
of the songs played live than, comparing to the album track

I wonder why Morrissey didn't played it live since 1992

it's like i'm over-exited but comparing to lots of other songs it's a good
average song

[btw, I miss our beloved Comtesse posts past days]

Wow, I've never seen opening scores like this: a 1, a 3, a 6 a 9 and 2 10s.
A true love-it or hate-it song!?

no Houdini

just some asshole trolls who're annoying past week on the whole site, now
they're also messing up the top 100 poll

[they're from other Morrissey sites, and can't stand Morrissey-solo still
stays the big, favourite one]

Nope, people who don't simply vote 8 or above for every single Morrissey song. You are allowed to dislike a song, you know?

my apologies, I was dead wrong, cause everyone has to register, and
I see no unfamiliar names, so my apogies to the ones with the low votes

[me psych tricked me, and I'm this close to a complete nervous breakdown
cuase of the weekly 5 daytime , 1 AND A HALF YEAR ONGOING, constuction works
in me street, to be precise the block part where I'm living and the one
on the other side]

no excuse for calling regulars trolls, maybe I've count to 500 and than
submit

i remember outside the hammersmith odeon in 1991, a fan got their arm sling signed by the man himself and it said 'sling your life'.

That little anecdote has made my day. Love it. :D
I give it a 7 - I really like it, best thing on Kill Uncle.

And I think Morrissey looks f***ing great in the clip.

7/10. Not bad. A nice little tune.

hmm, i dont know about this song. its okay. the only part i really like is the part that goes "a lovely singing voice....a lovely singing voice..." (melody wise that is.) its probably my least favorite rockabilly type moz solo song. i do however like the whole sentiment behind the song. "any fool can think of words that rhyme." but im not feeling generous today, so it gets a 6.

ok. i give the LP version an8 but i give the rockabilly version a big huge 10!!!!

I hate Sing Your Life. I hate the video. I hate the song. I hate the lyrics.
Still, it's kinda catchy.

Really can't see the attraction for this one
and ,as for it being "perfect"?

But each to their own..bring on Sweetie Pie!

A catchy, mildy charming bit of fluff. A 7.

I think the live rendition of this track really captures the whole Kill Uncle tour era. It's like some lost Sun Records single.

By the way, is there anybody out there that likes the studio version better than the live one?? (same goes for any track off KU)

<Raises Hand> The only song that I thought was better live during the Kill Uncle tour was "Pregnant For the Last Time". Every other song suffered with th'Lads awful, sloppy playing. And Morrissey was in poor voice during that tour too - Alain had to sing all the high notes for him. It was a great tour visually - so much energy! - but a terrible tour musically.

The biggest abomination was their '91 version of "Suedehead". Oh, be still my throbbing, bleeding ears!!! Thankfully, Alain figured out how to play the intro during the Your Arsenal tour.
