I actually love the way has a furious and final end to it. Since I was young when I first heard this song, I adored these lyrics:
How can someone so young
Sing words so sad ?
Sheila take a, sheila take a bow
Boot the grime of this world in the crotch, dear
And dont go home tonight
Come out and find the one that you love and who loves you
The one that you love and who loves you
Is it wrong not to always be glad ?
No, its not wrong - but I must add
How can someone so young
Sing words so sad?
Sheila take a, sheila take a bow
Boot the grime of this world in the crotch, dear
And dont go home tonight
Come out and find the one that you love and who loves you
The one that you love and who loves you
Take my hand and off we stride
Oh, la ...
Youre a girl and Im a boy
La ...
Take my hand and off we stride
Oh, la ...
Im a girl and youre a boy
La ...
Sheila take a, sheila take a bow
La ...
Throw your homework onto the fire
Come out and find the one that you love
Come out and find the one you love

This song is extremely underrated and one of my newer favorites. I've been obsessed with it for the past 2 weeks or so. I imagine it sounding great live, especially if performed by the current band.

An effortless 10 for this musical/lyrical pop masterpiece. I've always thought of it as a lesbian anthem ('Come out and find the one you love'). Everything about this song sums up why The Smiths had genuine musical and cultural significance. I fondly remember the Top Of The Pops appearance: Marr looking like an urchin deviant and Moz shimmying playfully like only he can.
