While we wait for the new album to arrive, let us go about rating the songs we know, on a daily basis, and compile our own Morrissey/Smiths Top 100.

And instead of chronologically, let's do them alphabetically.

Song for Today: AT AMBER

Voting should be something along these lines:
10: Classic
9: Near classic, f***ing brilliant anyway
8: Really good Moz/Smiths song
7: Good Moz/Smiths song
6: Decent, OK, Nothing special
5: Uninspired
4: Poor
3: Bad
2: Should never have been released
1: He/They should be ashamed

We have a new number 1!

I can't believe this song has such a low rating so far! I gave it an 8 myself, tho Bed Took Fire is better ;).

Plus it sounded great live the one time it was performed.

The song as a whole isn't my favorite but I love the beat of the chorus.

for i'll write down some criticism, i say i like and enjoy this Morrissey/the Smiths Top 100;

but, can you make one/1 URL for the ones you've posted, now its fine,
but when we're about to enter the G, you'll have to post at least 40 or so
URL's in 1 post

I'm not putting this poll down, just an idea to make it easier...you can direct
posters with 1 URL to songs who already been posted

a song that only Morrissey could write- incredibly witty and oddly sympathetic on all sides.

Although it's really not that great of a melody, I do like this song a great deal. The lyrics are wonderful - especially, "You my invalid friend, in our different ways we are the same." Musically it's a let-down though - one of the weaker Street compositions. Still, I give it a 7.
