It's a good b-side, and amusing for the fact that it can so easily be transformed into "Now I Am A Wuss". But really, there's not much to say about it. I give it a 7.

I gave it an 8; not exactly genius, but pleasant and catchy (now I've seen this thread, I'll be humming it the rest of the day). "I started at the top and I worked my way down" could be included in the syllabus for "This Are A Moz Lyric 101."

shameful as it may seem, i don't even KNOW of this song!!!
what single was it a b side on, and anyone know where i can hear it, without having to buy it form i tunes or somesuch.

Agreed. I thought it was always quite compelling in its simplicity. A bit like Some Girls...

9 for me.

It's the B side of Satan Rejected My Soul (thanks chrisaclark). I don't know it either but will soon (thanks pregs) and as I searched to hear the tune (the headline came up but no video ), I came across this on you tube...

I've never heard this before (thankfully) and I laff at the comments that are posted after the vid. I'm home, I want to cry & I want to die. They're fine in their own right, and I know they love Moz, but this is so wrong. I think my ears are bleeding.

a 6

as a few others, havent heard the song that many times to make a
fair judgement.

I had other things on my mind at that time, 2nd part of 1997
[while biking over a crossroad got caught by a speeding car, doing 60
km an our in a curve, a blackout, and 22 stiches all around my head, the
scarves in me face still shows the accident]

ah of-topic again, but i don't have to mention:rolleyes:

A fun and cheerful Moz-song if there ever was one.
Never fails to make me smile.
I gave it 8.

Yes, it's so self-deprecatingly funny! Yes, he has a talent for making me cry...with laughter.

I gave it a 9 because it's just a tad too short.

The piano bit makes it sound like it came from a different recording session and era -- like circa Kill Uncle.

I would be tickled to death if Moz broke out this song during the upcoming tour. It's been nearly 10 years since this song was released as a b-side to his X-mess single...and he's still a WAS! :p

shit peeps, ive never even HEARD of this song!

me neither, until some kind person answered my post here,
i wanna hear it though, i really do.

Only recently began to appreciate this song. I used to play it very very rare but at the moment its getting played at least once a day. Great b-side from Moz. Maladjusted really did have some excellent b-sides-arguably the best of Morrissey's solo career.
