I just downloaded 2 tracks from the Miraval Sessions. From what I know these were sessions for Southpaw. Am I right? If so, why the hell did Morrissey not use any of these tracks. If someone would be so kind as to reply back with anymore info on these sessions. Most importantly how many tracks there are.

Thanks,

Boots

I think the most important question is how "best friend on the payroll" got onto the album.

I don't find anything wrong with Best Friend on the Payroll. I think it's one of the better tracks on Southpaw and it's a shame he never gave it a live appearance. I think it would've worked out well. The guitar work on that track is impressive as is the melody!

These are the tracks that I have..

I'm with ya. I dig that track as well. I especially like the change in vocal near the end when he's at the bit "bring the paper in later..." (the word "later"). It's a small thing but I appreciate it just the same. Thing is, I like the record as a whole more than most, it seems. Oh well.

Southpaw Grammer made me into a man....its a right of passage
