Do you think America should attack Syria since Assad is cruel to his people?

You didn't even watch that video. No wonder you never grow and learn. Stuck in your mindset. Tune into MSNBC tonight... for all the latest propaganda to support your Chomsky paradigm.

I'm sick to death of war. We need to channel resources locally. Let the Middle East sort out its own tribal messes. Interventionism is losing its luster in my eyes. I'm having a paradigm shift. You should try it. Move a little to the center.

I didn't watch the video because your premise that I am cruel to humans is laughable. I have better things to do than listen to you. A lot of people do which is why you have to manufacture an audience, nobody really gives a shit.

That slaughtered cows pic you posted has my quote on it. And you are telling me that nobody gives a shit what I say? Lady, clearly you do. Now leave me alone. And stop trying to get my attention by posting things you think I will respond to.

But you're so brutal, aren't you?

I didn't need this thought experiment as I have already pondered these issues.

I don't eat pig fetuses because I don't have to. Just like I don't have to eat beetles and mealworms. But I would if I had no other source of nourishment. I am glad I have a choice. But for all I know I have eaten these things. Perhaps they were used as filler in some raviolis or hamburger I consumed. What you don't know may not hurt you. We don't waste animal byproducts. We render them into all sorts of things. Nothing gets discarded. Nothing. It is all very efficient, really. Ya, there is pollution involved. But those who use any means of transportation that requires a power source other than one fueled by human calories or the sun, should keep their moralizing to themselves. We are all consumers of something that pollutes the Earth. No one is innocent. A vegan who flies on a plane often, or even just a few times a year, has a greater carbon footprint than a flightless omnivore.

If I was starving, I would eat human flesh--even a human fetus. But I would not kill a human to eat it in order to survive. I would, however, kill an animal--any animal--and eat it. That is, except my cat. I don't care if you want to pin the label speciest on me. I am one.

Surely you would eat your cat?

No. She would only keep me alive for a few days. Not much to her. I'd rather die with her than live without her. I couldn't live with myself. But... if she died, naturally, and was disease free. I would eat her if it would keep me alive. I would hope that she would eat me if I died first. I would hope that anyone who NEEDED to eat me in order to survive--say on that hypothetical plane crash--would. Permission granted in advance. I am dead. I have absolutely no use for my corpse.

How does that work?

Paradigm shifts... falling out of love. Change of worldview. Mindset. A Christian becoming an atheist. A Marxist becoming a Capitalist. How? Why? New information. Growing older. Becoming more rational and less emotional... less idealistic. Societies have paradigm shifts as well... gay marriage, legal marijuana.

My shift came about when I realized how freaking much war costs. And who is paying to defend democracy and our freedom. Americans are. We need to take better care of our own people. We don't even have national health care. Yet we attempt to rescue everyone else. It was based on economics. Not much else.

What does your kitchen say about you? What kind of kitchen does Morrissey have now, after that rather chi-chi Mexican tiled thingy in L.A? Would Morrissey ever allow a 'butcher's block' in his kitchen, even as an ironic repositioning of oppression? Why does Moz eat in carnivore restaurants? Is salad on the lowest level of a free-standing unit code for a bizarre, Satanic lifestyle? Is it an Illuminati symbol?

Are Carnivores/Carnists slaves to The Illuminati?

The symbolism of the salad beneath the butcher's block is deeply profound. Herbivores eat plants and this energy rises through the planetary kundalini channel, yet we then slaughter them and chop them on the block. The blood drips onto the salad in some death-camp dressing recipe, and we think this is NORMAL!?

We talk about our Salad Days, not our Steak Days. IKEA catalogues are not innocent, they seek to entrain us into illuminati-normative choices in our kitchens. Resist! Fight back!

Like eyes, kitchen appliances and implements reveal the soul......

Apparently the "professional" music writer, Anasthesine, who makes me look like a wannabe, is not a writer by trade at all. And actually works at a Masonic Lodge. Interesting how Bigmouth failed to address that elephant in that thread this morning. How utterly convenient. She put her foot in her mouth... telling me I'll never be like Anasthesine... and yet her hero is in bed with the Masons. Geezer thinks they are evil. Btw, my grandfather was a Mason. It is a wonderful fraternity. They are normal business men with families and strong ties to their communities. They don't worship Satan. Only idiots believe that crap.

Oh, and my kitchen says, realitybites likes to cook.

I make no distinction between cats and cows. I make no distinction between food and companion animals.
No one needs to eat animals, it's a choice. So is the torture implicit in 'cheap meat' CAFO [concentrated animal feeding operations].
If I needed to eat animals to survive, I would, Even cats. Or humans. But I don't. It's called civilisation.
We are omnivores. We have choices. Other animals are either obligate predators or we control them.

I'm not criticising your choices, just enquiring.

regards.

We've just had a paradigm shift. Our politicians realised that if they were lapdog to American adventurism again without a clear UN mandate, they would be destroyed at the next election. They put their own careers first to defy the Prime Minister for the first time since 1702 or some such date. As a result, Obama is actually forced to present a cogent argument to Congress. This is not trivial. No one can explain why we should act on Syria but ignore the catastrophes in North Korea and elsewhere. America is not the world, nor is the UK. I'm glad to see we're making some progress in accepting our post-hegemonic state. America is next to realise that there's only so many wars a Caesar can wage before the treasury is empty........

"Won't get fooled again"

Not all masons are evil, just evil Masons are evil. And I never said Anasthesine is my hero, she's just a better writer than you. :lbf: I don't care who she writes for, her skill exceeds your skill.

I agree. We don't need to eat animal flesh in the developed world. We have cheap access to vegetable and grain proteins. We also don't have to drive or fly on a plane... two things that make us dependent on oil--wreaking havoc on the environment and leading to global unrest. Nobody is exempt from making selfish choices out of convenience, greed, or for pleasure. No one. We all have our own causes. Yours is animal rights. I respect your decision. Just like I respect a woman who is opposed to abortion, or for it. It comes down to personal choice to me.

Asking someone who derives great pleasure from foods which contain animal products, to give that up, is like asking them to never have sex again and only to masturbate. No one needs sex to survive either. As long as fertility is at replacement levels, we will continue to propagate the Earth. But most prefer sex to masturbating. And most prefer a meat based diet to a meatless one. Most vegetarians I have met don't even like the taste of meat and feel like they are not missing anything. I, however, would feel greatly cheated and deprived. I have a wonderful palate that enjoys being spoiled.

Your argument--insult fail--was that she was a professional writer and I wasn't. I was a fake. Your new favorite word. Like a child discovering it for the first time, you use it at every opportunity even when it doesn't apply. But now you are backpedaling--typical. I don't care that you find her writing to be of greater quality. Your tastes are not discerning. You are uncultured, ill mannered, and uneducated, and believe in all sorts of ridiculous supernatural crap. No one takes your opinions seriously, dearie. Least of all me.

I never said she was professional. You discovered that when you researched her and posted an anonymous rant you could respond to in the morning as realitybites after you cried yourself to sleep from not taking my opinions seriously. :D
