When you say that - do you mean that it has the same production as "Daddy's voice" as well? That kind of makes me nervous, because I think "Daddy's voice" sounds a bit to hard and overproduced. Please, say that "The father who must be killed" isn't as hard rocking as "Daddy's voice"...

I think they mean thematically as it sounds nothing like it. Very catchy chorus with the choir backing, plus atmospheric verses. Sounds a bit like the way Kill Uncle SHOULD have sounded to me!

least favourite song on the album...a bit boring compared to the other tracks
it is similar to daddys voice...heavy guitars playing a steady beat in the chorus...best bit is the end with morrisey singing 'so shall i' actually that bit makes the song brilliant shame i usually skip the song before that bit as its just before pigsty which is one of my favourite moz songs ever

the verse sounds very speedway-ish...the chorus is very nice, makes you want to do a bouncy dance. it's good, one of my favorites. people who don't like it don't know morrissey

Don't Make Fun of Daddy's Voice is one of my favorites actually, but The Father Who Must Be Killed has a totally different sound. Father is very much a glam stomp. I love both.

Yeah I wasn't saying it's a rip-off but thematically they're related I think. Also, it may not be a heavy rocker like daddy, but it's definitely a bit glammy. It reminds me of "She" from "Coming Up" by Suede but with a better melody and a weird "kill Uncle" sound mixed in there.
