Hopefully 5 years, we don't want another general election soon in the state we're in

What I think it will be is pure guesswork, not even worth guessing, may as well pull a number from a hat

tee hee.... i've obviously been stuck in a political vacuum for the last few weeks, cause that's the first time i've seen that written down as Condem!
Indeed i do condemn them:thumb: Give it a year before someone throws their toys oot the pram and spits their dummy!:p
The real question is who'll do it first?

I don't want it to collapse too quickly - Labour aren't ready. Give it a year or two and we can get a majority....

ah yes, most amusing indeed! unsurprisingly, the Government seems to prefer Lib Con. I wish I'd thought of Con Dem first but I must give credit to the Daily Mirror!

Agreed.

(Some people think I'm a total Tory but it's just not true, I want a Labour government but real Labour not that full measure of shite that passes for Labour right now.)

Nats, don't you worry that in Scotland, given time the SNP will call for another referendum on independence? It'll give the old 'Scotland's being governed by Tory idiots that the English voted in' argument for independence?

Libdem con - that's even funnier!! And sooo true. if i were a libdem voter, i'd be raging at the con!

Agreed.

Sorry, there's no chance EGD - there isn't a party that represents 'the labour/workforce' of the country... Labour stopped being labourist with michael foot and it ceased to be socialist (if it ever really was) years ago. Maybe a few years of the current f^ckwits in power will encourage a swing to the propper left? I live in hope that one day our politicians will actually 'care' again.:thumb:

There's nothing in that statement that I disagree with.

Basically all I'm saying is that in the absence of a true left wing, would it really hurt us to give the coalition a chance?

People have been too quick to dismiss it, wait a while then dismiss it!

Forever and ever. Amen

Yes I do, fair point - I don't want independence, I don't think Scotland could cope on their own. On the other hand, Labour are so strong in Scotland just now that the SNP are off the radar - I don't think they would get the support they got last time in the Scottish elections. I know a lot of patriotic Scots (including myself, albeit Scots-Italian:thumb:) who love this country but don't want independence - am I being naive when I think that the majority would not vote for it?! *crosses fingers and touches wood*
