My favourite Buzzcocks song is still "Harmony In My Head".
I love that song. Missed them when they were in Glasgow a few months ago which was a pity.

I think they have remained consistently brilliant over the years.

Where they sopporting Pearl Jam or someone in the States recently ?

Agree The Buzzcocks later stuff is also excellent, I've seen them many times from the Trade Test Transmissions period onwards, always an exhilirating experience.

Harmony In My Head was one of Diggles finest momets, but like with Mick Jones and BAD, his stuff with Flag Of Convenience doesn't work for me either.

Any FOC stuff I have heard has been patchy at best. There is just something comes alive when he works with Shelley and vice versa.

Steve Diggle has a book in the pipeline about his work with Pete Shelley, definately worth keeping an eye out for.

Really ? I would love to read that. Keep me posted. I am just about to start a book on The Fall called "Hip Priest" by Simon Ford.

Will do. I've been working my way through Hugh Cornwell's song by song book about The Stranglers, much better than 'Songs That Saved Your Life' seen as it's written by a member of the band, unlike The Smiths one which is a big flaw in my opinion.

I can't bring myself to see The Stranglers since Cornwell left.

I like The Smiths book but mainly because I have a huge interest in anything and everything about them.

I think Simon Goddard did remarkably well with the book as The Smiths are such a closed shop.

There is not a hope in hell Morrissey, and to a lesser extent Marr, would open up and talk about their work in the way other artsists do.

In a way it adds to the overall mystic and aura of the band.

The final 2 albums with Hugh were diabolical anyway, from 1977 to 1984 they were great.
