In the UK, they count 150 streams as equivalent to one sale.

The 'OfficialCharts.com' (not the magazine subscription service linked to above) estimates you need to sell between 7500-8000 to make top 40 and the average sales to make number one are 100,000 - 110,000 (2013/14 averages).
With 5000 UK ltd copies only and no digital release to boost sales plus not being sold by all chart reporting retailers...
How exactly does debuting at number 172 have any relevance whatsoever? It was destined never to do 'well' in a chart context.
