A thread about things Morrissey has said in interviews, lyrics, etc and the original source of inspiration.
I'll get things started...
"I refuse to recognise the terms hetero-, bi- and homo-sexual. Everybody has exactly the same sexual needs. People are just sexual, the prefix is immaterial." (Morrissey, Dec 1984)
"Kids are finding out that there isn't much difference between them sexually. They are finding out that the sexual terms homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual, all those are just words in front of sexual. People are just sexual." (David Johansen, 1973)
I have always believed Morrissey's words back in 1984 to be his own, I was obviously wrong...
