Man, that Steve Lillywhite can really talk! He said Morrissey was "possibly the strangest man I've ever worked with, definitely the most gentle man I've ever worked with...an Irish throwback...a man of few words."

He said the Smiths were greater, because of Johnny Marr, "such a technically gifted, intricate prog rock guitarist, couple that with a man who did not know how many notes there were in a scale."

Morrissey was always dressed impeccably - in a Morrissey t-shirt.
