It's been quite Disheartening to see the "Facebook" Hatred thrown about by Our Former Friends/ Working Partners Kristeen Young and Tony Visconti.
I do feel that Someone needs to Speak Up for Moz in this situation as it is unbearable to watch people you once trusted , Attack and Pick Away at your Friend.
In my experience ANYONE associated with the Morrissey Camp know they are solely there because of Morrissey himself.
He chooses to tour/ work with certain people.
For Kristeen and Tony Visconti to go on about Her being better off now, without considering Morrissey's 9 years of help and promotion is Very Disappointing.
Only speaking from my experience, with the crew and Moz falling ill in Miami, for Kristeen to deny she was truly sick seems disingenuous.
I was told after the show in Miami by Crew and Security that there was some concern because Kristeen was obviously unwell.
Our crew then tried to keep her at a reasonable distance but being in such close quarters for months these things sometimes happen.
I am Upset that in this situation Kristeen could not take the tour as a whole into consideration and just comply with the postponement announcement.
One could only assume it was necessary for her to justify herself and ultimately receive some promotion out of the matter.
This combined with Tony Visconti's Parrot Like affirmation on "Facebook" that "she is better off, is Morrissey Capable of being handled?" is Repulsive.
This is a MAN who worked closely with us on a record and several sessions that Suddenly flips into Schoolgirl mode with "yeah you tell em" Chatter...??

So, what's next after all this ridiculous back-and-forth childish banter? Will Morrissey keep a low profile for weeks/months as his first album in five years is released? Or will he surface was statements, interviews, in-store appearances, or (gasp!) the announcement of more live shows?

The more I think about this whole mess, the more confused I feel. Here he is, at age 55, about to release a new album with some pretty good songs on it but he simply can't keep it together. He stood to probably make quite a payday with the Barclay Center show, I'd imagine. Instead, he had a fit over something and ran away from his commitments, making some absurd allegations in the process. Sorry - not really buying the sickness thing. I could be wrong, but hearing him sing in Boston June 7...well, he sounded and acted in excellent form. I've seen BAD shows. This was not one of them. You're telling me he collapsed moments after a great, complete show where he played two songs for the first time on this tour, did the shirt removal act, and ranked the gig as the best of tour?? Doesn't add up.

He did this knowing that there would likely be serious repercussions on his ability to tour again. And that it would likely infuriate his new label, one that he fought for 5 years to secure.

It's all very bizarre.

I fear it's another fall-out with the record company. Harvest will have to do the damage control now, Moz has backed down (very mad obviously about how Harvest has marketed the new songs so far...)

Not long now for the first major reviews/adverts in the music press. If the album fails to reach number 1 Moz/Harvest is over.

How about a Vegas residency?

I fear that it would merely mean the same shit, in a different location. Morrissey signs up for a three month Las Vegas residency, everyone gets excited - then two weeks into the residency Moz gets ill and cancels the remaining dates.

He needs to stay at home, sort out his diet and fitness levels first - and stop blaming his woes on everyone else.

This is so obviously a lover's quarrel between Moz and KY. Poor Visconti is acting out while trying to keep her. For what? The sex must be good for either of them to keep supporting her financially. Despite her independent punk ranting, KY relies on men to fund her endless musical repetitions.

Perhaps, but if he stayed in one place he could have better medical care, a chef, gym, gatekeepers etc.
He needs to take better care of himself than he thinks.

He could do things like play full albums (the way Suede did at the ICA), warts and all. And still hit L.A. and New York, Paris, London, Manchester for a few big gigs each year.

A vegetarian-only menu at his Vegas venue would be impossible, though…

I don't think he is. Fans tend to forget that especially in the US, outside of LA he's not very well known. I've heard a number of people complaining outside of shows that he didn't play Suedehead or Girlfriend in a Coma. A lot of "fans" know the big songs and that's it.

I have to admit I did wonder about such things given the number of remarks she has made hinting at it .Why on earth would someone say the things she does otherwise?Particularly after the first time when she was she was kicked off the tour? If you will notice there is more than one incident after that happened where she did allude to it .Kind of sick of hearing drama from these people.They need to get over their nonsense.If someone noticed she said those things before and it wasn't true why on earth did the same subject keep coming up? Yeah you're so independent Kristeen let your man fight your battles for you. As a person who was always kind of edgy I can't say it never occurred to me I struggle a lot in my own life.I also am not constantly in relationships either. Some women do get away with that. It kind of makes me ill.Morrissey has already lied enough times in the recent past for it to become wearying.I always felt bad for him but not anymore. I have worse problems in life and am expected to get over it or move on so when I hear people whining or in his case "Crying wolf" I wonder why he expects people to suddenly care given the way he treats the fans otherwise. I mean for years even if someone says they love him at a concert he has been snarky back to them . He shows no appreciation and obviously every time something happens he either gets his way or he is never that far down. It's like why listen? Other people have to do what they need to do and move on with their life. Nobody cares about them because they are not famous.

Given that I am in a different region in the US I had kind of wondered how it was possible these people always know where he is or what he is doing and just happen to be there when he shows up. I suppose stalking explains it. That is kind of tacky .I would hate to have to chase someone down just to get their attention or a photo taken. That's kind of pathetic.It truly is . I don't really care for the disciple types of people .

Another thing that is tiresome about all of this . Let's blame the record company for not promoting me properly. They did make attempts to do so. I have seen these same attempts made for other artists as well. This would also include the email that was sent to people who are on that list . So these excuses on his part do not wash with me . Additionally, I am not believing for a second that he has no other opportunities to promote himself .That is just laziness and finger pointing . He has loads of fans added on the Facebook page. He has other fans even that circulate his info online . I'm wondering why it is an obligation to place blame on others and stress fans out by making them debate this or take pity on him? It is really draining.We get nothing from it . He is the one involved in business decisions. It is his name and his agreement. Nobody else. He flew off to France to record an album. He got his way. The only way he shows validation or appreciation for fans is by tallying up chart positions . He gives more credit to celebrity fans than other people and he has been a part of this industry for how long? He should know what is up by now. I am not buying that he doesn't. If he spent more time focusing on his music this would not be an issue instead he uses the media as an attention game where some of us do like hearing about the music from the people we are fans of . One person I like of recent released several interviews where she is talking about her album and where the inspiration came from etc etc etc. His problem is as many have said before if music is so important to him he should try to focus.If he does not do well it is HIS FAULT .He has connections. He has roads he can go down that are not available to just everyone .If he is passionate about music, let's hear about it and hear about that PROCESS Morrissey.You have fans all over that don't need to hear about the royal family all of the time . We want to hear what is going on with you. We want to know more about whether there is validity to the comment to have alluded to possibly ditching dairy and we don't have solid answers or interest from you . so GET REAL WITH YOURSELF and GET REAL WITH YOUR FANS.It's TIME. Also, if you hate Morrissey Solo so much then take an interest in your fan base and you might see changes occur.

He looked miserable in the LAX photo. Just what someone who just got off of a 10 hour flight wants- a camera in his face. Then days later Joe and Clover are at the Cat and the Fiddle and I am so glad Moz told them no photos. She must have someone who works there call her when Moz arrives. Sad.

Las Vegas might be one place that would tolerate Morrissey's flakiness. Danny Gans cancelled (at least, IIRC) half his shows and still had his own theater at The Mirage until he died (at Morrissey's current age, btw). I don't think Moz could fill one of the larger casino theaters, though. He's not widely known enough and the economy is a mess, especially in Nevada.
