I have to agree with you, no explanation morrissey? You are not one to shy away from reality, what is the story, flood his site with the burning question

He cancelled/rescheduled some of the US shows 2-3 times! His reputation with promoters and venues is not strong currently. He will be back, but he needs to put a little space between him and the debacle that was October '12-March '13. Be patient.

No explanation for what? the gigs were postponed first because of his mother's illness, then because of his own illness, and later cancelled altogether, again because of his own illness. Not a good situation for anyone but you received refunds. He has no obligation to "make up" anything.

Despite his recent troubles, people in the US (and the UK) have been incredibly well catered for in terms of Morrissey tours. South America has had very few of the years.

If this tour goes without any problems then he will no doubt be back in the US at some point in the relatively near future.

I wonder if the private gig and the free one the night after are related? Is the first funding the second?

This sounds very reasonable. Ive been guessing the same thing.

While its true Moz doesn't owe anyone anything, he knows there are a lot of disappointed US fans. Not everyone can afford to travel across the country to see him. Just about the entire middle of the country missed out. I am sure he wants to get to those cities that had multiple postponements that of course ended in cancellation.

The most important thing is that he gets through this tour healthy!!!:pray:

"Kristeen Young will support at all shows." Aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!! He must pay her in tap washers, I'd rather sit under the stairs with chronic toothache than listen to her.

Nah, not tap washers...she admitted on FB on "being paid VERY well". Christ, I wish this overpaid hag would go away. stay in St Louie or wherever the hell she's from. the day she gets on MTV U or Fuse I'll be impressed and apologize personally to her face for insulting and hating her 'music', until then sincerely wish Morrissey would get new opening act (but that's been said for years now)

Linda is not going to like you and your comments/freedom of speech. Take cover she is going to give you hell with her fingertips very soon I fear.

The freedom of speech that you keep squawking about entitles me to respond to your remarks. If you are going to post malicious comments about Morrissey on a site titled Morrissey-solo, then you would be an idiot not to expect some heated debate, and if you are implying that the negative commentary should stand and not be confronted, then you certainly don't support, or understand the concept of, free speech. If I feel that someone is posting unfounded, inaccurate statements about Morrissey, I am going to defend him. That is the essence of free speech, you simple-minded gas bag.

You've missed one out, what about the one which proclaimed "The bands Illness" when he wished them a speedy recovery ? Or was that him telling fibs.

Ha ha ha !

Oh yes do you mean like the TTY statement that said "Manchester Arena would be the only 2112 gig in the UK "only for him to rock up at Glasgow a couple of days later ?

Liar liar his panties are on fire, never believe anything until it happens. (Wise tip with Morrissey)

It was Edinburgh not Glasgow, when Manchester was announced in early April it was the only UK gig, Edinburgh was added in June. If you are suggesting that this was all planned in advance and that the thought was that tickets for Manchester wouldn’t sell if they’d announced that two days later he’d be playing over 200 miles away in venue that holds less than 3000 then it seems ridiculously Machiavellian as the MEN wasn't a sell out.

I miss the Free Trade Hall.

Why apologize? Truth is truth. If she ever made it to MTV or Fuse her music would still be horrible. How would that change anything?

Look...I love Morrissey, but I do not share the enthusiasm he has for Kristeen Young. I think she's a bore and I wish he'd drop her into space. I don't know what he sees in her - his musical taste is much better than that...but it's his show (yes, his not theirs) Since he's insisted on having Kristeen "woe is me" Young open for him for the past, what, seven years now, and obviously hasn't any plans on changing that anytime soon, I will wait until her set is done to enter the building. Even if that means no front row for me.

It saddens me to say this, but sometimes I really do think he likes to see us suffer. He knows over half his fans would like to see a new opening band. Blah :( Sorry.

Thats right he could'nt even give the tickets away in his home town of Manchester !

After seeing Johnny perform on the latest tour, I would see Moz only if he NEVER performs another Smiths song again. Yeah, the voice is there, but the Bar Mitzvah band isn't cutting it anymore.
