1. Roxy Music "Beauty Queen." One of my favorite Roxy Music songs, and I think the vocals lend themselves to a Moz rendition quite well. Plus didn't he say that "For Your Pleasure" was like, the only perfect British record?

He should cover "In Every Dreamhome a Heartache"...from same album.

That was Roxy's first album I think, including their first hit "Virginia Plain"
also, "Do the Strand".

I did buy it around 1972.
Black cover with some woman on front (no surprise there then) wearing stiletto heels.

twas the second roxy release. virginia plain is not on it though.

So Virginia Plain wasn't ever included on an album.
I recall buying the single (Island Records? or did that come later)
Anyway, what was the first LP then?

the first lp was s/t i think. and i believe virginia plain was released in b/t the first album and the second.

Sorry do you mean the first LP was s/t (shit) and virginia plain was released in b/t (between) the first album and second?

s/t = self titled. b/t = between. sorry for the confusion!

"I don't know what you heard about me" is pure Morrissey, too.

The next line is "but ye can't get a dollar outta me"...its all beginning to make sense.

What about Good Lookin' Woman?

And then Joe could do a cover of Now My heart is full...
