Songs Morrissey should cover

The ordinary boys would be a good pop choice imo. It would have to be a song from there best album how to get everything you ever wanted. Lonely at the top with its lyrics of gossip from anonymous neighbors with stories to sell and all the work that goes into being a pop star it covers a lot of the things that seem present in his life now. Even funnier would be a cover of the ballad of an unrequited self love affair with its lyrics of self sabatoge and the love hate relationship you can have with yourself. These lyrics I thwanna no would be hilarious at the moment

“It's such a complicated situation
It always ends up in a fight
What I wouldn't give for some isolation
But I'm gonna stay with me tonight

I catch my gaze across the bedroom
We only need some time alone
Lost in a haze of self indulgence
Oh what's indulgence on your own?

It's an unrequited self love affair and it's not fair
I need to be there for myself but I'm not there

I am a danger to myself, let alone anyone else
I am a danger to myself, oh oh oh

I've such a needless need for vindication
I've gotta show myself you see
If only for stealing all the covers
And for taking advantage of me

I like to tell myself "I love you"
Even if from behind grinding teeth
Sometimes I'm sure I half believe it
Am I getting the better of me”

Also a great choice. A cover of Bardot, and Bardot on the cover. He needs to embrace this kinship.

Impossible, Bardot is not far right enough. Married to an ex Le Pen deputy in his party , anti islam , the perfect kinship you said!

Well, I'm a lonesome schoolboy
and I just came into town
Yeah, I'm a lonesome schoolboy
and I just came into town
Well, I heard so much about London
I decided to check it out

Well, I wait in Leicester Square
with a come-hither look in my eye
Yeah, I'm leaning on Nelson's Column
but all I do is talk to the lions

Oh where can I get my cock sucked?
Where can I get my ass f***ed?
I may have no money,
but I know where to put it every time

Well, I asked a young policeman
if he'd only lock me up for the night
Well, I've had pigs in the farmyard,
some of them, some of them, they're alright
Well, he f***ed me with his truncheon
and his helmet was way too tight

I think if there's indeed an album of covers he will cover Bowie, simply for commercial reasons, as even hardcore Mexican fans might be puzzled by an entire album consisting of covers of obscure singers' songs, such as Alfonso Glasscock's "Do I have to come right out and puke it?".

People will think it's a loving tribute. :o

Plenty of singers who sold well died recently but I don't think he will try those:
- Leonard Cohen (too deep)
- Dolores O'Riordan (too high)
- Prince (too small)
- George Michael (too gay)
- Aretha Franklin (not slim enough)
Etc.

I think he should cover this song. If you listen to it, it sounds like a Morrissey song anyway.
