I know what it takes to write books. You need to know who your target audience is and then you write for that audience to make it appeal and sell. Like any marketable product.
How do you know your target audience or what appeals to them without needing to use or have any empathy?

Morrissey’s response to the world is avoidance.

and I don’t blame him.

I disagree. For those in the know he has a very active social life. People who practice avoidance dont stay for extended periods, wasn't it a year, in a 5 star hotel in the middle of Rome and they don't choose to live in the centre of Hollywood or stay for more extended periods in other 5 star urban central trendy hotels. He was often seen socialising in LA, often driving around in an open top Jag. I think many people would like to believe in the image portrayed re the insecure, unhappy hermit but the reality isnt that.

Do I really need to answer that? There are whole myriad of authors who write stuff to make money but doesn't really mean that it equates to having empathy.

Barbara Cartland was mentioned earlier by someone. The fact that she knows her target audience wants to read soppy romance novels doesn't really mean that she is a romantic. She may be but it isn't necessary to produce the product.

Priti Patel apparently states the has empathy with the Black Lives Matter movement because she was called a Paki as a kid but large numbers of people condemned her for her lack of empathy. Which is it?

This is a pointless debate because neither you nor I actually know if Morrissey is empathetic or not because neither of us know him well enough personally. We just know the product.

I have said similar things many times but in reality it kills me to not be able to meet up with friends and strangers. He was often out at bars in LA with people he liked. I repeat without actually knowing him I dont think anyone can make such judgements and what is the point. It gets dull to do armchair keyboard psychoanalysis with no facts. Statements like this are just him making statements but not necessarily the reality.

Nah, you misunderstood my post.

I’m well aware he’s enjoys a night out.

When I used the word ‘world’ I mean his avoidance of the things he doesn’t want to be apart of.

And also, no, I don’t see him as the ‘unhappy hermit’.

That’s all a far cry from the present, wearing baggy-sack-arse trousers with short arse heeled boots to the pie shop to pick up the bread, cheese and sausage rolls.

If you wish to go through life thinking there is a great big conspiracy then go ahead. I would rather be a little bit more stable than that.

I would like evidence before stating that everything is a conspiracy and for that you have none.

There is no covid 19 doctor here in the UK that gets any more money for treating a COVID 19 patient than not treating one.

There is no money to be made by falsifying a death certificate to be Covid. There is a lot to lose for doing that aside from ending up in prison. There is nothing to gain for that doctor so why are you saying he would do it?

Who roll off all these words but there is not one word amongst them that is a fact or anything backed up by even in inkling of a fact.

I will deal with facts if you have any but I cant have a credible discussion with someone who has this rather conspiracist view that everyone is out to get us but cant suggest why that may be and produce no evidence for it.

Again, the messiah has risen. He came from planet zog and is here to take us all home. That statement is as credible as your theory.
I don't think you would know evidence if it struck you on the head with a 2 x 4 with the word "EVIDENCE" written on it if you believe the messiah has risen and came from the planet zog to take you home now. :D

Well it is highly unlikely you have a 2x4 with the word evidence on it because you don’t have any evidence of anything.

But we all wait patiently for any snippet that proves some conspiracy that the whole world is being conned by something with regard to covid 19.

Instead of coming out with more generalised waffle how about something concrete?

Tick tock tick tock

I think we all avoid things we don’t want to be a part of. The thought of being at a dinner party with a bunch of dull wannabes chatting about crap like a talking hello magazine gets me running a mile or not answering the phone. We all know what we like and what we don’t and we all naturally avoid what we don’t want to participate in. I do it every day.

But a lot of people in Morrissey’s position will do things they don’t want to do for whatever reason, but Morrissey? not so much.

Avoidance doesn't mean you avoid everything - it's only things or times where it's become overwhelming. Walking out of a tour, not going to an album launch, not doing a deal... that kind of thing.

Well he has complained in the past when he has a rant at his record company for not organising more promotion events for him to attend to promote albums such as TV and Radio shows but he has also stated many times that he hates these things so I guess this also puts him in the position like many others in the role of promotion of a product that he sees the need to do things he doesn't want to.

There are many artists who live a private life away from media eyes but I don't believe that then brings on a relentless remote armchair psychoanalysis by fans who long to put him into the box they like to see him in. It is all speculative and not possible to prove and pretty pointless.

As already mentioned he has complained before that he has not been given more events to promote albums. That isn't really avoidance. It's just bad management.

I avoid many things that I consider overwhelming on a daily basis. It is human nature. Walking out of a tour is allegedly because of his appalling sickness record or bad ticket sales. I am pretty sure there is no evidence that suggests he every walked out of a tour because he is avoiding something that is overwhelming. A man who loves being on stage finding it overwhelming and wanting to avoid being on stage. Nah. Evidence?

Read any book about him or read his interviews - he has anxiety & has often gone missing or refused to come out of a room to avoid things.

Complaining that he isn't getting promotion events doesn't mean he'll turn up & when someone has a history of not turning up, then less promotion events are arranged.

I am not aware of any promotion events that have been arranged for him on tv etc that he has not turned up for unless you have evidence?

I have read many books and have met him and socialised with him many times and I don't buy this constant psychoanalysis.

Psychoanalysing someone from reading books that are very possibly dubious and from unreliable and untrustworthy sources is just pointless.

What is the point? You seem to constantly over and over say he acts like this, he acts like that, it is because he has this mental health condition, that condition, that personality etc etc and I just don't understand what is is all for. None of it you can prove and none of it is really that interesting and all of it is speculation and edging on obsession.

he has "refused to come out of a room to avoid things"

Revelationary that one. Which book did you get that from?

I often refuse to come out of a room when there are media involved or people around I have no interest in spending time with. Or when I have a hangover or the bible bashers are ringing the bell.

Seems pretty normal behaviour to me.
