I remember the 1st ever dedicated Smiths nite I went to - it was at The Venue in Manchester; it was a fantastic nite. Can't remember the year though - must have been either 87 or 88, I would have thought.

So, can't recall if it was pre- or post-split.

Can someone like Grim or JJ help me out on this one?

Great night. Must apologise to a few folk for getting a bit lairy towards the end of the night, but that's what happens - booze+Moz/Smiths=lairiness.

Does that mean they were pleased with the turn-out? There's something about the place that I really like. Did you see that bunch of Mackems with the t-shirts and the fake sumo-tits? They were in a good mood.

I saw them lot when I was on my way down - nice outfit.

It wasn't a bad turn out, the gaffa was happy, so it'll be there every other month from now on, the next ones should be a bit busier cos all the kids are back in town.
