The Channel 4 TV programme "When Boris met Dave" on tonight looks at the background and college years of two contempory British political characters, Boris Johnson and David Cameron. It includes real-life interviews with people who knew them, and drama reconstructions of situations in which the two were involved. In one early scene of David in Eton, How Soon Is Now is played while he opens his suitcase and takes out a picture of the Hatful of Hollow cover-sleeve. He strums along on a tennis-racket.

It has been reported in 'strange / unexpected Moz references thread' few months ago.

We heard that David Cameron came to see Wembley gig in December 2006, went to SLC etc.

No more David Cameron related thread please.

thanks for letting us know.
it's pretty staggering that, if Cameron gets elected (and there is currently an 82% chance that he will), the UK prime minister will be a Morrissey fan.
Morrissey fans, by stereotype, are meant to pale, awkward, humourless under-achievers - not leaders of nations!

He might become the next Prime Minister... but that won't make him a leader... by definition he would need a nation to follow him... he's going to get to Number 10 by default... he is the 'anyone except Gordon' candidate.

Terrible time for British politics.

Dave
