Signature fading on signed LP

Small question:
I picked this up a few weeks ago and as we all know it was quite expensive.
But I thought: "we only live once" and bought it anyway.

It really seems like all of the "blue" from the ink has already faded away :(

It's 100% legit, has never seen sunlight, and I stored it away in a dark closet.
I was REALLY careful with it too.

Is there any way to preserve this signature?
Was bad ink used to signed it?

Heartbreaking ...

I think someone else had an issue with fading, or even disappearing, ink on an album they bought at a Moz concert. I seem to recall they got in touch with Sam Esty Rayner via his FB page, and he was able to get it sorted. I think any level of success will depend on where you bought it.

Blue ink is unfortunately not good for autos. Best you can do is to never put this in any direct light that has UV (including lightbulb) and also replace the frame's glass with 99% UV glass.

Was this bought at a recent concert? Kinda worried about my vinyl now.
This is from Salford lads years ago

just go over it with a blue marker,it will still be morrisseys signature, unfortunate that this has happened.

Big no no to go over the signature yourself. Unfortunately the glass touching the signature is not good and it should’ve been framed and mounted instead of only framed, the glass touching the signature is not good and the ink can transfer over onto the glass (ask me how I know!)
