Morrissey is a multi-millionaire, initially on the back of property deals. Plus God knows how many thousands he was earning back in the days when he could sell out multiple arenas per tour. He should have just sucked it up, paid the money and be done with it - it was chump change to him at the time - but by dragging things out he just cost himself more cash and grief.
