Saddest song?

What do you think are some of the saddest Morrissey/Smiths songs?
The ones that make you sad.

For example, I find "I Have Forgiven Jesus" is one of the saddest and funniest songs at the same time. Even the saddest song there's humour and tongue-in-cheekness in it which makes Morrissey totally unique and genious.:)

Oh, there are so many.... Well, at least these make me cry: Asleep, WDYFOFY, All The Lazy Dykes, Late Night, Maudlin Street...:(

I know its over is almost too much sadness. Will never marry, Seasick, I have forgiven Jesus, The night that opened my eyes

To me (a weird pick probably): Driving your girlfriend home & I know very well how I got my name. And OF COURSE Asleep.

seasick, yet still docked.

I'd Love To, I Know It's Over and Come Back To Camden.

"There's a club if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who . . . . . . . "

Strange how such a majestic tune could have the saddest and truest lines ever written.

Moz's saddest song for me is Seasick...:

"I wish I knew the way to reach the one I love...there is no way"

Simple yet beautiful and sad at the same time. That lyric sums up how we all feel at some stage of our lives.

For me, I Know Its Over and for Moz (i think) it may be Sorrow Will Come In The End... why? cause there's too much sadness on the lyrics! He's talking 'bout the trial... thinking of his ex friends and knowing that he lost it... there's so much sadness, angry, impotence...

Ah! Come Back To Camden is also sad...

"There is something i wanted to tell you, it's so funny you'll kill yourself laughing, but then i... i look around and i remember that i am alone, alone... for evermore..."

All of my "saddest songs" have already been mentioned so I won't go into that twice - I just might add Boxers, for some reason I've always felt like crying when I hear it.

You might laugh but when I lived abroad I used to sob over East-West! It's an otherwise cheerful song but whenever I heard

But when I hear your voice
Singing out
The Bells Of Home
Are ringing out
And I feel all alone
(And I think of my home)

the tears would just rush in. I know it's stupid but it's just how it is.

I Know Very Well How I Got My Name or The Never Played Symphony

Symphony just has that quality about it that truly gets down to what real sadness is about. I know when I get sad/depressed I never see anything that sticks out in my life, it's all just "grey spaces in between".

I know... hit me hard just with the line "you think you were my first love, but you're not- you were the only one who's ever come and gone."
