Listed on Rough Trade @ £23.99.
Coloured vinyl - TBC.

Blurb:
"Originally released in 1984 and unavailable for almost 40 years, this was a collaboration between one of the most successful (UK) female stars of the ‘60s and indie darlings the Smiths, who were big fans. It features three Morrissey/Marr originals on which Sandie is backed by messrs Marr, Rourke and Joyce. Never previously available on coloured vinyl."

Rough Trade appear to have forgotten the German marbled vinyl release!?
The release should have:
1. Hand In Glove
2. I Don't Owe You Anything
3. Jeane
On it if a straight reissue.
Regards,
FWD.

I think this is a UK only release. I dont see it on the US list. Can anyone confirm or deny?

24 sheets for a 12 inch single, record stores will be minted after this.

I'm confused. The NME list says 2021 but lists 2022 records such as The Cure 'Pornography'. Just the usual lazy/sloppy journalism maybe.

Also the NME list is far bigger than the official RSD list.

p.s. Not that I particularly care. My days of queuing early and then running in to a shop just to have my wallet raped are long gone.

Money for old rope. Anyone who spends £24 on a 12" single needs their brains examined.

At £24 for a 12” single, I fear the event is actually becoming a further nail in the coffin of the high street.

I have the original Canadian import of this one. I was pumped when I found this back in the day. Her version of Jeane makes up for what she did to Hand In Glove. I Don't Owe You Anything is pretty good too.

I wonder if this release helped cause the recent friction between Morrissey and Marr. Moz seems to be loathe to do anything that brings Joyce any income. And this release might cut Moz out of performance royalties.

One of my relatives (not Dagenham Dave!) was at the Ford Motor company in Essex when Sandie sang in the works canteen, barefoot up on a table. Puppet on a String, probably. He wasn't impressed by her voice.

I doubt it, as Moz had no problem being involved putting together new sleeve artwork for the 2017 'Boy With the Thorn'and 'Queen is Dead' singles. It's quite possible though that, as this single is credited to Sandie Shaw, the record company doesn't require any authorisation or permission from either Johnny or Moz to do a reissue.
