Royalties , Co Writes etc...

When a single/album etc is realeased, What do you think is the state of play with the royalties, Ie..

I wondered, Does the co writer (Alain, Boz, Jessie etc) get a 50/50 split?

Or would there be another arrangement?

Morrissey would get considerably more as he wrote the lyrics, but also so would the person who wrote the music. Session musicians don't earn anywhere near as what the writers do.
