ROTT - What Material was Used for CD

I know this is a bit late in the day, but can anyone tell me why the CD of Ringleaders was a shiny black plastic (like an old PS1 game) rather than a shiny silver disc.

Cheers.

God I feel old. That black material is vinyl. Those grooves on it used to play music on this thing called a record player.

You feel old, i'm 40!

I don't know if I explained myself very well. One side obviously has a old style vinyl image with track listing etc, but the disc itself (flipside) the playing surface is a shiny black plastic. Does that make sense.

It's just I have never seen any other CD like it, all the CD's I have are shiny silver.

Cheers.

I believe it is a substance called "black plasticky stuff".

Someone has already said, it's because he wants them to look like vinyl records.
