Richard Ashcrofts solo stuff awful and that bad its funny to watch his videos

Let me explain,I always liked The Verve from their 1st Album,to "Northern Soul" which I think was there best,to the split to "Urban Hynms" right up to Haigh Hall in Wigan in 98 and I really rated them but though Nick McCabe was a massive part of the bands best tracks as Ashcroft always seemed to take himself a bit to serious.They were a cracking band to catch live.

His solo stuff is awful,He really is awful as a solo artist. The worst shite I have ever heard from someone that I once respected,In fact I get angry when I see his self indulgent videos of his kissing his missus and generally loving himself.

His music is like a collection of bad Verve B SIDE'S and yet he still seems to think he's some sort of ROCK GOD ;-)

Couldn't have put it better myself Mr P.D. I think the more he has indulged in Columbia's finest the crappier his music has become.
He is fast becoming a mirror image of that other "I was once in a great band"solo flop.....Mr John(I need a seperate tour bus for me and my gear man)Squire.

You gotta see his new video its really funny to watch how poor the song is and what a sad dickhead Mr A is.I bet McCabe must piss himself watching Ashcrofts sad efforts at Solo Stardom.The video is so funny,Ashcrofts singing in a booth OOoohhh Lordy Lordy the blokes a knob.

I heard the first one mate and it was pants. I can't believe this is the same guy who fronted a band of the stature of The Verve.

Has ever a decent frontman ever left a cracking band and been so shite???I cant think of someones solo stuff that they have tried to be commercial and been so OFF THE MARK.
