Althuogh, I hope you can all see it as for some reason I keep getting those white boxes with the red cross inside whenever I view a thread with an image on here. How can I make my computer see the picture?

i guess you are using ie.
tools/internet options/advanced/multimedia: see if the "show pictures" box is ticked

I emailed David T love with this problem also. It's your firewall settings, you will have to tinker around with them. Get that lanky streak of pish to sort it in the room next to you
