Pub in Southwark area that Morrissey frequented?

I don't know whether I dreamt this, I've been in the habit of reading Mozipedia before I fall asleep so I could have, but I thought I read about Morrissey once being seen quite often (long ago) at a certain pub in the Southwark, London, area. I don't think he was said to be on the darts team or anything like that though. I've re-read the entries on boxing, Jake Walters and London and can't find it again. Any ideas? Did I dream it? Was it "The Ring", with its boxing associations, on Blackfriars Bridge Road? Thanks

I know it is slightly to the west of Southwark, but could it be the Vauxhall Tavern?

You didn't dream it. Weirdly I just came across it yesterday in the bit for Introducing Morrissey (which I was watching) where it says the opening sequence shows the famous Southwark boxing pub the Thomas A' Becket.

I just tried googling it and it turns out that the pub is currently empty/closed though the building is still there.

Ahhhh! Thank you Sam Tappertit. I'll have to get the video out too now. :thumb:

On Google Streetview you can see it getting a lick of white paint.
