Who knows about mathematics here? I was playing along with a quiz show and this question came up "In mathematics the circumference of a circle is calculated by the equation pi times what?". I gave my answer as "r squared" but the answer was actually 2r or d, then I was googling to try to find out if 2r and r squared are the same thing. I haven't taken a math class in years, and I wasn't very good at it even back then, so r squared was just a guess on my part.
I found this online: "The area of a circle is pi (approximately 3.14) times the radius of the circle squared. The circumference is pi times the diameter." So was I wrong with r squared and what I was giving was actually the area of the circle rather than the circumference? Can anyone confirm and save me from having to set up a Quora profile just to ask this same question.
After some additional googling I'm satisfied that I gave the wrong answer with pi x r squared but I'm going to post this anyway so that we all may refresh our memories about how to calculate the area and the circumference of a circle.
@!Viva Hate! this question isn't an excuse for you to tell us the circumference of your dick.
