Post Whatever You Are Thinking At This Very Moment

I walked into a smokey old bar after midnight last night and they played Holding Back The Years and I LIKED it. I thought to myself this is a good song. What is happening to me? :fearscream:
It’s an astonishing song; no shame in liking that one. And thematically, it’s close to some Smiths material.

Supergrass is making loads of money on American television drug commercials. This has been going on for years now! With the same song!!

We are young
We run green
Keep our brains, knees, and joints nice and clean…

But we’re Alright!

I love how we all take buildings for granted, like we don't notice them after a while, they are almost defult yet have sculpted our surroundings...

Yes, I never noticed there were benches attached to the building a local supermarket is in until I saw someone who caught my eye on one. I never noticed such lovely benches, built right into the building, before. It had never occurred to me that someone could lounge there, until someone who stood out to me did just that.

The more you actually look the more you notice things that weren't there before but had been all along.

i saw this in the news today and it made me so sad. he looks like such a nice man, like such a quintessential canadian mountie. :(

Post whatever you are thinking at this moment? I can't put it into words! It's just been on the news that fishing is good for mental health and some people are being prescribed it on the NHS! Sense of achievement it said! It was only last week that I asked to withdraw from participating in a financial decision aimed at making things safer for anglers. Morrissey says it isn't calm and quiet and that fish scream. This piece of news has infuriated and upset me.

Fishing Prescribed on the NHS?!:pray::ahhh::laughing:

Fishing is one of the most calming, rewarding outdoor activities in the world. I’ve been enjoying fishing immensely during periods of sick leave.

If you don’t want to kill/eat the fish you can throw it back in the water. If you do eat sea life you just kill it quickly with an ice pick or screwdriver - much more humane than letting it suffocate (as they do in commercial fishing).

An old man was smoking at the bus stop today so i kindly informed him thst he had to put out his cigarette. He responds with "says who?" So I called him a filthy vile old man and told him to die screaming and a number of other things in my best cold monotonous psychopath voice and still he just sat there smoking and spitting. Filthy old man.

I can't believe anyone actually buys what Morrissey says that fish "scream really loudly"--yeah? Then why can't we hear them?? Hasn't it been scientifically proven that fish lack the nerve cells to feel pain?

I don't know if they feel pain but if you've ever watched a fish slowly suffocate and die, it doesn't look like it's a very pleasant experience :(

I don't dare to tell people off anymore for stuff like smoking at the bus stop. One risks getting stabbed or shot these days.

why, because they flop around and wheeze a bit? that might just be the machinery taking over, acting out the life instinct. it might not be so unpleasant, who can say. an observer of drowning would say that that doesnt look like a pleasant experience, and yet a sense of euphoria is said to attend deaths by drowning.

I’m incredulous at how callous you can be. My sister tried to drown me, and there was nothing euphoric about it except for her smiling face above the water. My lungs felt like they were going to burst into flame. It was excruciatingly painful. I wonder if Virginia Woolf felt that, and how she dealt with it. Resigned, to go through whatever drowning would feel like, I guess. My sister only let go of me when she felt me finally digging my nails into her ankles. Her smile fell off her face upon feeling her own pain, the stupid bitch.
