DIANA ROSS IN JAIL

> DIANA ROSS IN JAIL

2 days in jail for drink driving - silly girl.

I can't think of another all girl group that come close to the Supremes.

Maybe the Ronettes did - if only for a few songs- Be my Baby, Walking in the rain etc

Yea The Ronettes along with The Velvelettes had some smashing songs, but it's not a roll call that would match The Supremes.

Tori Amos & Martha Wainwright

I just saw Martha live for the second time two weekends ago and she blew my mind. I absolutely love her voice. It's so strong and powerful. If you get the chance -- GO SEE HER!

Talking of Martha's.. Whatever happened to Martha & The Muffins? Wasn't they Canadian..?

Now I've got 'Echo Beach' playing on my mental Jukebox!

Were they Canadian? I can't remember. Wow..I haven't heard a peep about them in YEARS.
Now you have 'Echo Beach' in my head too!

Yea they were Canadian, terrible name for a band though. I still have the debut 'Metro music', which I actually played to death for quite a while, and the second album, 'Trance & dance', which I don't like at all. I think they had a couple more albums in the mid 80s as well.

As Canadian bands go they were quite cool.

Didn't their keyboard player join The Associates ?

I very much doubt it, the role of keyboard player was shared between the 2 Martha's, they definately weren't in the Associates.
