'Tony...' is a thing of beauty!
The lovely understated guitar parts, the beautiful quivering cello, the bouncy bassline, the wistful lyrics, the rhyming of 'corner' with 'warn yer'.
It's genius pop and (as I mentioned before) M Nevin has declared it his favourite co-write.

Thanks for the back up! Didn't know that about Nevin. I think the intertwining guitars on the outro are up there with the end of Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others (which might be my favorite piece of Marr playing).

New leader this morning, by a mere 0.02...had to go to 2 decimal places to split the top two (otherwise we'd have a joint leader).
Only 0.22 total difference between 1st & 3rd place...4th place trailing 3rd by 0.26...it's tight.
Bottom 3 all in the mid-hi 5's...

Not such a songwriter after all. It is just that some of his best work appeared as b-sides (the loop, I changed my plea) and on YA, where his songs sounded much stronger. His efforts on KU by contrast didn’t come across so well.
