The Sandie Shaw/Smiths version - just Johnny on guitar and Moz wailing in the background - is brilliant too, if you can find that.

I always wondered if lyrically it was about Marr - Jeane being pronounced as Jean, I know, but given the French spelling for John. Also, Jean Marais is the cover star - which is almost French for Johnny Marr.

But maybe that's just me!

There is no Smiths studio version of What's the World, they only played in live.
