Sore bum, sore legs, and a great day out. The sun shone on us and we all had a whale of a time. Ruth, Gail, Phill, Lesley, Hugh - everyone made it a very special day, and if I heard correctly, we raised about £3,500. I clocked it at exactly 16 miles from start to finish. Here's some pics...

The Smiths' Room is a lot fuller and smarter than my last visit:

Great day, congratulations to everyone involved. And hello to Sphinx, finally.

Peter

Great photos, looks like it was a fun day. Love the ice cream van! Well done to all.

(forgot to say)
Frank Sidebottom with a quiff = genius!

i had a good time,
i was the 17 year old (suprisingly the only teenager around), green bike, beanie hat and grey jeans! not many people talked to me though,

forgot to mention,
i almost killed 5 people due to my lack of experience on the 2 wheeled machine called a bike

You should have said hello!! I remember you now!

Peter

Thanx to everyone who posted the photos , to all that took part and the ones that sponsored the ride. I was at work today but there in spirit.

Grim, thanx for my name on the T-shirt but what happened to the pix ???
( on second thoughts you didn't want to scare passers by with photos. Wise choice. ;) )

Very well done to all of you, you should be very proud. The pictures are gtreat. Just saw a snippet on Granada news with Phill speaking to the reporter. Brilliant stuff

Cheers for the mention Grim !!:):):)

It took me an hour to find the lads club from picadilly with an a-z. :o I know where it is now at least, glad I came, The Smyths were ace! as was the cake.

I am absolutely f*****g gutted that I couldn't come today, it looks to have been an amazing time and I would have loved to meet some people. Unfortunately I had to take my brother to Lancaster today where he begins university. Good on you all for doing such a grand job and next time something like this takes place I WILL BE THERE !!

Thanks for all these great pics/reports,
sounds like a fab day, I hope you aren't too saddle sore. ;)
I'dve loved to come, (and seeing as i cycle up a mountain to get home from work every day, 16 miles on thr flat would have been easy :p)
hope you managed to raise tons, and more importantly tons of media interest which will in turn (hopefully) generate more cash.

what did that Witch Blears have to say for her greasy little self?
