Not entirely on topic but I was happily surprised by the new Libertines album and his memoir. In a world where musicians who were the worst junkies often burn out, I think it's charming how Peter is adapting to sobriety. It's a relic of a phrase but the Americanism "fat and happy" comes to mind.

Someone posted last April about a Libertines song, Be Young, with similar lines to the Morrissey track, All The Young People Must Fall In Love

Doherty was recently on the (BBC Radio 2) show Tracks Of My Years choosing his favourite songs. Some very cool choices including the LA's and the Stone Roses. I won't tell you which Smiths song he selected in case you like a nice surprise but it's IMHO a very overrated song and not as good as certain other b sides ! (Wonderful Woman for a start)

I have to agree Jamie. I was pretty soured when the whole deal of children came into the pic but I love that he’s made it out of addiction and is sober. Anyone who makes it out is a miracle as I never expect it and that libertines album was very impressive imo. Good for him and long long may it last

Chaz and Dave… ain’t no pleasing you, is Pete’s seventh choice.
An Absolute Masterpiece of a song.

Will someone give me Morrissey's telephone number already? I need to talk to this man immediately. I can fix this whole album release situation. He listens to me.

I swear, I had his number. Yeah, we used to talk all the time. But I've, uh, misplaced his number and mine has changed. Or, um, I deleted his number accidentally. Something like that. I swear I had it though. And he'll listen to me! Really!

I know that he reads the drivel thread, though hardly anyone believes me. You could post there.
