Jim Morrison is dead so doesn't qualify

Apart from Morrissey being too far down, it isnt such a bad list, it's quite varied I suppose.

For me it is simply missing the Manchester contingent - Mark E Smith, Brown/Squire, Howard Devoto and Noel Gallagher(for the first two records alone!), maybe Pete Shelly too.

Now I've already proved I'm not so hip by suggesting Noel Gallagher, there's no harm in saying Plant/Page should be there somewhere too...

Page and Plant fall under Led Zeppelin at #39.

and if Moz is the only non-musician on the list, why is Jim morrison not on that list?

Michael Jackson is also on this list and not a musician, or is he? I don't recall ever seeing him play onstage.

some good names but it's generally full of sh*t. moz deserves higher and where the hell is johnny cash on that list? he most certainly deserves a spot.

he hasn't but as far as i know, he can play guitar and piano. he plays only in studio, i guess because his performances are based on dance and well, you can't play and dance at the same time.

how come i know all this crap?

Cash is deceased, doesn't qualify.

Mark. E. Smith, yes! Shelley, yes!
Brown/Squire, nah.
Devoto, hmm, he's good, yes but. I don't know. Did he do enough?

if somebody is a real musician its him, he plays a lot of instruments and he wrote some of the most strong songs in the 80's, yes he really deserves it

Morrissey is not a "non-musician". He makes music so therefore he is a musician. Stop being such snobs. :p
