Re: Diversity is grand.

there's nothing like a bit of "OOOOMPH!!"

Re: Diversity is grand.

I think the three singles he should have released off "Your Arsenal" should have been Tomorrow,National Front Disco and seasick, Yet Still Docked.

However, I do not know which ones he did release. Which singles did he release?

only time will tell whether Mindy resorts to poster-licking....stay tuned to Channel Moz-Solo for further developments....

Re: Diversity is grand.

you're the one for me fatty, we hate it when our friends become successful, certain people i know, and tomorrow were the singles. glamorous glue was intended as a single but never made it. and we know moz considered releasing NFD as a single, since he says so on BWD.

don't worry. i'm not trying to take away your title by any means.

Re: Diversity is grand.

no problemo.

i live to serve others in the name of our lord and saviour steven patrick morrissey, amen.

And suddenly came to my mind that glamorous glue is his first video with an african american. That bitter, sad face, I like that one.

TRUE, Derek have made pure art with the smiths. Morrissey needs a good director that could translate his songs to images that reflects his genius. I LOVE CARAVAGGIO, by the way.

Re: Not just watchable, it's a good video. And the girl is Boz Boorer's daughter, no?

yeah, that is the most random thing in that video. it must be a reference to something.

the "Tomorrow" video is funny because the band is walking around in the background acting goofy and Moz is walking 20 feet ahead of them like "I don't know these people"

the headscratcher is the guy cast as the boy racer. he doesn't exactly seem to fit the "he's just too good looking" mold. its more like "go beer commercial boy" as the plain guy living out his fantasy that he's a mr. stud.

which thing? the bongos?

exactly! another funny thing about "tomorrow" is that you can see boz's funky british teeth when he smiles. now, i happen to like an imperfect smile, but my dad saw the vid and now calls him "ole rotten tooth." he always asks me how good ole rotten tooth is doing. my dad is a weirdo.

good point. that guy was NOT goodlooking.

yes, that.

oh man.

i don't plan on bringing any videos along, as i don't really have an answer to "why does he have a bandaid on his nipple?" and make them wonder more about my sanity, but i do remember one time playing some of moz's stuff in the car a few years ago and my dad having a laugh.

> good point. that guy was NOT goodlooking.

i don't want to seem mean, but i think part of it is that he looks like some guy i used to hang out with that would not be classified as the boy racer type.

The Whole Suedehead Video Comes From...

> yeah, that is the most random thing in that video. it must be a reference

The entire Suedehead video is a homage to James Dean. There's a book of photographs of James Dean taken in his hometown, sitting in a diner, sitting on a tractor, carrying a dog, playing bongos, and each image in Suedehead is one of those pictures put into action with Morrissey substituted for James Dean. I can't remember the name of the book, but I've taken it out of my local library. There's a picture of James Dean on the cover of one of the Smiths' singles of him sitting on a motorcycle wearing glasses, and that's duplicated in the video as well. That picture comes from the book, too.
