Ok, and here TMF and STH beg to differ. I thought Ultrasound were great ... I think their first 2 singles ("Same band" on Fierce Panda and "Best Wishes" on Nude) were genius. Unfortunately, they took the prog thing too literally, and their one & only album, "Everything Picture" was a bit of a bloated mess. However, despite the overblown production, it still had some great tunes.

Richard Green, the lead guitarist and Bernard butler lookalike, has a new band, The Somatics, who sound like a more poppy, less proggy version of Ultrasound. They are very good.

JUST COS THEY ARE BETTER THAN YOUR FAVES, THE WONDER STUFF!!!

Hmm good points.. the Reaper used to write a column in the UNCUt about stuff like this. he would do well to read this roll of shame.

I could dare to add:
OASIS (apart from the first two albums)
Stereophonics (better live than on album though)
Foo Fighters (is it me or does it get a bit boring after a while)
Black Sabbath Ozzy osbourne (They have dated badly compared to Zeppelin or Purple)

Others from different backgrounds.
New York Dolls (Just what did Morrissey see in them!!?)
KISS (absolute rubbish)
Eric Clapton (He bores me rigid)
Tom Jones (why does the old school industry still queue up to s*ck this mans d1ck!)

PS, (TOPLOADER is an insult to indie music. Its not in the genre mate)

I can't let you have Coldplay though because of the three glorious tracks for different reasons, 'Brothers and Sisters, Don't Panic' and 'Bigger Faster Stronger'

Under-rated,

Seafood, Jimmy eat World, King Adora, Cinerama (shed7 haha)

Which is when they left Midnight Music? Just shows changing labels can be a downfall for many bands.

Overated,

1) The Cranes. You can't dance or sing to them

2) My Bloody Valentine, " "

3) The Cranberries, expect their first ep. "With their tanks and their guns stop it, stop it"

Ummm ... does anyone actually rate The Cranberries. Sure, middle-class twats wh only buy one album each year probably have their "best of" in their collection, but I don't think any self respecting music fan would actually "rate" them.
