I'm curious if you guys have any idols you love as much or more than Morrissey.
After posting in the 'Don't meet your idols' thread it got me to thinking.
I'm sure I don't have anywhere near the collection of Morrissey or Smiths stuff other fans do. My older brother told me about this group of seven guys he used to know in town that had... Morrissey condoms.
These seven guys turned my big bro off Morrissey until his heydey of '04 when he finally admitted Moz was cool.
I don't necessarily mean collecting merchandise.
I don't think you have to have everything to be a fan or look up to someone.
This could just be your style icon for example.
My main idol is the actor John Malkovich.
This man can do everything. He's the best actor there is. He directs, writes, designs fashion, interior decorating, manages a nightclub, etc . He even sings.
He's profilic.
The height of my fandom was seeing him act on stage in '05.
My other idols are J.K Rowling and Morrissey.
J.K Rowling has made me extremely happy writing Harry Potter.
I would not be too scare to meet J.K.R. I'd fall on my knees and beg her to write more Harry Potter books.
