It seems to me that the subject of Mute Witness is 'pointing to the frisbee' because the frisbee is the nearest thing to a 'flying saucer' or U.F.O, that you might happen upon. At 4 AM, north side Clapham Common the girl with the flailing small arms saw a flying saucer and perhaps had a 'close encounter'.

Didn't someone say that Morrissey encountered 'extraterrestrials' in 1980? That's what I think this song is about.
