Cuando, cuando, cuando some people will stop picking on Morrissey for crying out cuando, cuando, cuando in EDILS?

JFChrist! Stop it disrespectful brats.

Jim Jim Falls

A little harsh I'd say. The setlist is often changed a little from night to night, and quite a bit when there's a month or two's gap. Some acts don't alter a single song in a whole tour.
And, yes, Telephone Rings is dreadful. It's down there with Kids a Looker and People are the Same. Worrying that this kind of rubbish is considered good enough for a new album. Rebels is a beauty though, and the other new ones are at least pretty good.

It’s all a matter of taste. Those tracks aren’t dreadful; you just don’t like them.

I like all 3 that you mentioned. That doesn’t mean they’re incredible, it just means that I enjoy them.

Sure, they’re fairly simple, chug-along songs with lyrics that’s aren’t exactly poetic, but they each say something in a blunt & concise way with humour. T

hey are uniquely Morrissey, which is why I enjoy them.

“fairly simple, chug-along songs with lyrics that’s aren’t exactly poetic”.

Christ, that’s not going on a sleeve sticker.

I reckon imagine swapping out a classic like ‘Billy Budd’ for an absolute rubbish song like ‘Bullfighter’. The Capitol rekkurds debacle is clearly weighing heavy on Moz’s head nnnnnnnnnit mate

If you choose to go to multiple shows on the same tour, that's your lookout. If Morrissey changes the setlist completely every night, then people will be hacked off they missed a particular show where their favourite song was played. Morrissey isn't playing for the 2% of audience that go to multiple shows, but the 98% who are seeing him one time only. If you don't want to hear the same songs dozens of times, just be like a normal person and just go to one show per tour.

Problem sorted.
What's true is the part about the immense following. One video of the Ontario show from a week ago already has nearly 25,000 views -

There's some extra commentary on reddit too.

How is the problem sorted if the setlist essentially remains the same with the exception of a few songs every tour?

Agreed, we've heard enough of Sunday, Irish, Ripper, the new songs, and who's asking for bullfighter...nobody! In general the setlist has been a disappointment for years....
The swap of Girlfriend for Shankly was a total letdown. I think in my list of Smiths songs I'd kill to hear live this ranks near the bottom. It's a great set for newer fans, or people who haven't seen him in ages. And his voice and delivery are the best I've heard him live in many years. If he keeps performing at this level, I'll keep going to see him, dream setlists or not.

And that's why is such a disappointment he never plays Heaven Knows, Well I wonder, Ordinary Boys, Unlovable....ever!
