Iran is most certainly years away from being able to nuke Israel.

And on the subject of gullibility, I find it amazing that anyone in 2006-- after the humiliation of Iraq's lack of WMDs, and the lying the U.S. and U.K. did to perpetrate the myth-- would float the idea that Iran is secretly years ahead of schedule on their top secret WMD programs. How many more Colin Powell-style PowerPoint slideshows do you need to see before you grow skeptical about all the men in Washington who are selling you their Monsters Under The Bed! theory of foreign policy?

Iran is a theocracy. They want nukes and are on the way to having them. This is a threat we should take seriously. There are bad people in the world who want to kill Americans. This is a threat we should take seriously. After the fiasco in Iraq, however, you should at least be a little more cautious and sober in determining the exact nature of the threat-- the limits, the capabilities, the *reality* of what's going on in a broader sense. Whether they were right or wrong to invade Iraq, in their execution of their plans the civilian leadership in the U.S. has blundered on a world-historical scale, weakening their ability to fight Islamic fascism on the one hand and strengthening their enemies on the other. Such is the real-world result of making decisions based on wish-fulfillment and spook stories, all in gleeful and utter contempt of, quote, "the reality-based community" -- do you really want to see this again?
