...err.... THE STROKES at number ONE?!?!?!?!?!
STARSAILOR at number FIVE?!?!?!??
WHITE STRIPES at NUMBER 3?
SLIPKNOT at NUMBER 6?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Only decent ones in there? Spiritualized, Aphex Twin, Air, Daft Punk, New Order (no.31), Bjork (32), Kings of Convenience (33) and REM (34).

I've heard of a 'who's who'.... but this is a 'no-no'.

DREADFUL.

Could this be NME's final year? With circulation falling thru the floor.... let's hope..... for too long NME writers have been obsessed with what they feel they SHOULD like rather than what they actually do, and it's sad, pretentious and laughable.

The Strokes at number one... God, it hurts me to even give them capital letters.....

Maybe it's time for a campaign. I'm not joking - perhaps an anti-NME campaign is really needed. I'm surprised there aren't any websites completely tearing the magazine apart, for goodnesses sake! And have you seen the recent 'updates' to the NME website? Utterly, utterly poor.

Something needs to be done!

Russ, you should not reply to your own messages, you look silly now

Totally agree with all the above comments, it's the first time I've bought nme since Oasis (who?) were a popular band, only bought it for the freebie cd, wish I'd have checked in here first coulda saved meself £1.30. What has happened to it? How long as it been this bad? It's not just my age is it? I mean the writing & content is abysmal.
Well it's gonna be a long time before I'm lured by bright packaging & a free cd again.

It's not his fault

I wipe the drool from Russ's chin and change his diapers. I also walk him to Kindercare everyday. It's not his fault he's retarded, so be nice to Russ. He doesn't want to be judged, he just wants to be loved. His mother was (willingly) gang raped by a rabid pack of laughing hyenas and he is the resulting failed abortion. I just don't like it when he foams.

Re: It's not his fault

Was he a latchkey kid?? I figured as much. I think you really need to bathe poor russ,he's starting to really smell quite vile. That's the worst schit smell I have ever smelled,I knew it had to be russ t.

The Christmas crossword is a good challenge though Grim!

i don`t like strokes but they are much better than bjork.

mmmm... slipknot... perhaps it`ll be the next nu-metal band i`ll buy a cd...
