Typical NME review, two thirds taken up by prattle about nothing. Hardly any comment on the actual songs.
PS. He is a national treasure. The fact it's not known to everyone makes it even sweeter.
I'm not familiar with the NME staff these days, but it at least reads as if they assigned the review to someone with a few more years on them that isn't trying to outdo the other with obscure references and wrongheaded analogies.
I'm glad to see the box out about Alain. None of the other reviews bothered to mentioned that!
