So let me get this straight....Tickets are sold to an event, ticket agency goes bust. The NME's solution is to tell people who've made purchases that they'll have to pay again!
Instead of taking the hit themselves or perhaps consulting multi-millionaire Robert Smith or The Cure's record label to make a contribution to the event to see that people are able to get what they've paid for, they decide to go full-steam ahead and say "Terribly sorry, people, but you're scum and you are not coming to our party".
